Willamette Valley, Oregon
This wine includes Chardonnay clones Dijon 76 and 95 sourced exclusively from certified organic estate vineyards – Johnson Vineyard in the Yamhill-Carlton AVA and Wascher Vineyard in the Dundee Hills AVA both planted on sedimentary Willakenzie soils and the Chestnut Hill Vineyard at an elevation of more than 900 feet in the Chehalem Mountain AVA planted on Jory volcanic soil. The vines were kept to a yield of 2.9 tons per acre.
The fruit is whole cluster pressed and barrel fermented in French oak barrels, only 25% new. The wine underwent partial malolactic fermentation and then aged 15 months on the lees. Only 279 cases produced.
