2021 “Isabelle” Pinot Noir

AU BON CLIMAT 2021 “Isabelle” Pinot NoirABC - Isabelle Pinot Noir 2021 - Label

California

*This cuvee is named for Jim Clendenen’s daughter.

VINEYARD
The 2021 Isabelle was sourced from Bien Nacido (Santa Maria Valley), Rancho La Cuna and Los Alamos Vineyard (both Los Alamos Valley – Santa Barbara County), Sanford & Benedict (Sta. Rita Hills), and Lala Panzi (Russian River Valley).  Handled individually, small lots are kept separate throughout fermentation and aging.  After tasting the best lots, there is a rigorous barrel selection.

CELLAR
The fruit is fermented in small open top fermenters, which are punched down by hand twice a daily. The wine is then aged for 20 months in 100% new Francois Freres French oak barrels.
