This wine includes Pinot Noir clones Pommard, Wadenswil, and Dijon 114, 115, 667, 777, 828. Sourced exclusively from estate, Oregon Tilth certified organic vineyards – Briscoe, Johnson, Rocky Noel, and Stermer Vineyards with Willakenzie sedimentary soil in the Yamhill Carlton AVA; Wascher Vineyard with Willakenzie soil and Meyer Vineyard with Jory and Nekia volcanic soils in the Dundee Hills AVA; and Chestunt Hill Vineyard with Jory soil in the Chehalem Mountain AVA. The vines were kept to a yield of only 2.2 tons per acre.
The fruit was mostly destemmed with a high proportion of whole berries. Aged 14 months in French oak barrels, 35% new.
