The “Jerome Reserve” bottling is a blend of the best elements from the certified organic estate vineyards, and is intended to be the most balanced, expressive and age-worthy Pinot Noir. The 2014 vintage is 71% fruit sourced from their Stermer Vineyard in Yamhill Carlton and 29% fruit from their Meyer Vineyard in the Dundee Hills. The fruit is 42% Wadenswil, 30 % Pommard, and 28% Dijon 777. The average yield in these vineyards was only 1.9 tons per acre.
Mostly destemmed fruit with a high proportion of whole berries and 15% whole cluster were used in the indigenous yeast fermentation. Aged 16 months in 47% new French oak barrels. Only 500 cases produced.
